DEBRA POWER CO-AUTHORS PAPER IN MEDICAL JOURNAL

Debra Power, president of Power Marketing Research, co-authored an article on a web-based, patient-led decision aid. Focus groups were conducted across the State of Michigan to gather input from patients, physicians and staff. Published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Medical Internet Research, the article is titled, "Perceived Barriers and Facilitators of Using a Web-Based Interactive Decision Aid for Colorectal Cancer Screening in Community Practice Settings: Findings From Focus Groups With Primary Care Clinicians and Medical Office Staff."

DEBRA POWER TEACHES SENIOR-LEVEL MARKETING COURSE AT EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY

Debra Power, president of Power Marketing Research, is presently on staff at the Eastern Michigan University College of Business. She teaches the senior-level course Marketing Research 470. This required course covers the fundamentals of marketing research and advanced techniques in using research to make marketing decisions. Debra has added many new dimensions to the course, especially the addition of hands-on activities that include implementing real-world surveys and focus groups. Students also participate in a real-world mystery shopping exercise.


DEBRA POWER JOINS BOARD OF 826michigan

Debra Power has joined the board of directors of 826michigan, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

POWER MARKETING RESEARCH RECEIVES ANN ARBOR SPARK FASTTRACK AWARD

Power Marketing Research is proud to announce the receipt of a 2011 FastTrack Award from Ann Arbor SPARK. The FastTrack Awards recognize companies that have consistent records of growth.

Recipients of 2011 FastTrack awards were required to have revenue of at least $100,000 in 2007, with an annual growth of 20% for the following three years. To qualify, companies reported 2010 revenues greater than 2009 revenues. Power Marketing Research was one of only seven companies to receive the award.


SBA WOMEN IN BUSINESS CHAMPION AWARD

Debra Power, co-founder of the Women's Exchange of Washtenaw, was honored as a Women in Business Champion for 2010 by the Michigan Small Business Administration.
